Rear window water line

We get lots of moisture at night and the water runs down the middle of the back window right below the chrome clip. Has anyone tried to seal this clip with some silicon or other sealer .
I want to put a window sticker in the center of the window and don't want a line running down it every morning.

Thanks

I have never tried sealing the clip, but my idea would be to use some of 3M's rope caulk. Just move the clip to one side and fill the void with caulk.
