Tailgate Mat

I was looking at the LMC Catalog, and they have tailgate mats for the inside of your tailgate. However, they don't say it specifically fits the Blazers. Has anyone mounted one? Did it require trimming or was the fit pretty good?

Re: Tailgate Mat

Since the tailgate is the same for Blazer and Truck, I would think it would fit the same. There is the added seals and carpet on the Blazer body, but if it is like other tailgate mats, it shouldn't extend that far.

My thought exactly, however I called LMC and they said they wouldn't guarantee fit?

That's kinda like going to Advance Auto Parts... Unless you get someone who really knows his/her stuff, all they can do is go by the book. Most don't have a clue what they are looking at/for.

Re: Tailgate Mat

I bought and installed the LMC tailgate mat. It does not cover the entire tailgate. I trimmed mine to line up with some of the contours and mounted using 3m tape so I didn't have to screw into the tailgate. The tape is rated for x pounds per inch and I installed along entire perimeter and at each 'rib'.
Here are some pics of what mine looks like installed.
