Fuel System... lines, pump
Getting my fuel system in place with a stainless fuel line kit from inline tube.. I got a kit from them with the main fuel line, return line, and vapor line. I am debating over whether to toss the return line and get a fuel pump that takes just the main fuel line or to include the return line on the truck and get a 2 port fuel pump... Is there an advantage in having a return fuel line?? I ask because I've been having trouble with fitment of these fuel lines on the frame and one less line would save some aggravation.
Also, is there a certain procedure/any tips for installing brake and fuel lines? Everything is run on the passenger side and it's pretty tight with 1 brake line and multiple fuel lines... pictures would help if anyone has some! (the truck has a single tank on the passenger side)

It was there, and you have it, so use it.

Re: Fuel System... lines, pump
I believe the return line allows the fuel to recirculate so it doesn't heat up and cause vapor lock.

Re: Fuel System... lines, pump
Ok yeah I read that somewhere. For some reason my truck originally came with 2 lines: the main fuel line and the vapor line to the emissions canister. I am curious why it did not come with a return line from factory? It used to be an inline 6 though and now it will have a 350.

Re: Fuel System... lines, pump
Strange. My '83 has the return, but it is a 305.

Re: Fuel System... lines, pump
my 78 Jimmy has two ,no return(or charcoal can either)
the 79 does, and it's to help with the vapour lock... my 79 Jimmy tank would be different style ....
