Grabbed the wrong can off the shelf one day.

The Rebuild motor in my 79 K5 was Pontiac blue. I grabbed ford blue by mistake. Didn't notice till I was sittin on the core suport ready to touch it up. I knew it would irk the hell out of my buddy so I went with it.

Couple weeks later I'm at his house shooting the sh!t on the drive. Tell him I got a miss. He's ASE pro so I'm always bugging him about stuid chit.
He lifts the hood and slams it back closed. Tells me it runs like crap because somebody put a Ford engine in it. LOL.

I say black. I painted mine yellow and it is discolored over the years. It looks ugly.

Well I rinsed off the oven cleaner today, and I was not crazy. The motor in the 72 was originally painted chevy blue. I decided to drive the 9 hours each way to Tim Christians and buy the 250ci motor that was in his boys 68. If I remember correctly, he said that one was painted orange.
