What color orange is on this truck? Is it really Hugger orange? Is this paint scheme common?

Re: 1970 gmc 1500

The SPID says hugger orange, and it looks like it could be, so I am guessing it is. After 40+ years though a lot can happen.
It isn't a real common color combo but they are certainly out there.

You hardly ever see this color combination but I saw this on CL today, and then I saw this post. So I've seen two in one day! I kinda dig the color combo.

Re: 1970 gmc 1500

Nice. Thanks for the link. I have only seen two GMC trucks with this color combo and a few Chevys. And when I went back to the selling dealership, they were the one's who told me about the other GMC. The last time i saw that truck, it was rotting in a field outside of town.

Re: 1970 gmc 1500

I have had the truck for a few years now, since I was 16. I drive it every now and again. I can't decide if i want to add a late model FI motor or leave it stock. I will not cut the truck as it is to clean for that. It is a 350 with a auto tranny, PS, PB, no AC.
I may want to trade it for a GMC step side...not sure.
