Gas tank filler neck

I am trying to figure something out. I have the gas tank that sits behind the seat. The tank itself has the pipe spout coming off the side to penetrate the cab. If I remember correctly there is a hose that clamps the that and them to another piece that actually penetrates the cab through the grommet and the gas cap fastens to that. Problem is I don't know what that piece is called and have no clue where to look. Thanks guys.

Re: Gas tank filler neck

You are correct. The gas tank has a rubber hose that connects to the filler neck. Available at most catalog or online parts companies....I'll see if I can find a link.

Get a grommet while your at it.. I think you have to have that pipe out to replace the grommet.

Re: Gas tank filler neck

is there a pipe that doesnt have the cutouts for the locking cap to sit into to secure? cuz i have a locking cap, and i think even if the cap is locked it can still be turn to the correct spot and just pulled off. my locking cap has the wings that retract when the key is turned, so if there is a complete rim i can turn the key slide in and release the key, but i havent seen anything as such... was chrome i painted it with truck bedliner.

There have been issues with new floats. Save yourself some grief and check with our vendors before you buy a new one.
