62 c10 with 78 front end control arm question

Put a set of 2-1/2" drop spindles on my '62 and now the rims contact the lower control arm. How much can I safely trim? looks like it only needs a dog-hair off.
Front end is out of a 78 c10...wheels are 15x7 rallies...

If you trim you will want to box the arm or a weakness in the arm will alow the balljoint area to bend.

what about moving the rim out with a slip on wheel spacer? if its only just touching you will only need a thin one. saves cutting up your lower arms to.

That's a good idea.
