OEM starter numbers and dates
I know that many of you guys worry about original #s but I have a question on my starter. DELCO # 1107259 Date code 5K21. Date code equals 1965 October 21 which could work for a 1966. I have good reference book with casting #s and stamped numbers, but I jump over that number. It does say made in Canada. Besides original engine, I have the original alternator and distributor. Just curious about the starter. j

Re: OEM starter numbers and dates
I would really like to know what reference material you have. I have a 1966 gmc that has been changed out in many ways and I would like to identify parts and to see if there is any consistency. My starter # is 1108360. It's either 10/65 or 10/85 (cant make out the year).
I have #s and even a tag on my idler arms but NAPA was unable to identify. Internet has not helped but I may be expecting too much for '66 gmc. |

The reference book I use is Cars & Parts Magazine " Catalog of Chevy V8 Engine Casting Numbers 1955-93 and stamped numbers"
