I'm not looking fastest drag car or a Prius. This will be a daily driver but I was hoping through others experience to find out what they have done and maybe help make a decision of what to do with this truck.
Here is a stock ls2 hp torque curve. Looks like torque is relatively flat between 300 ft# at 2k to 340 ft# max at 4.5K. blue is ls2 red is ls6

Yeah that dyno help. I think a 4.10 Gear would actually be fine. I found a truck which I like the ride height and tire size so I am going to try and match it. Tired were a 29.65" tall tire. What do you guys think. I like how they ratios work out and I love how the truck looks.

Looks dialed in to me.

Re: You have to love to drive it!

My only concern was with a supercharger and 550 - 600hp is that going to be too short of a first gear but.... i'm thinking i'll be fine.

I liked the .74 ratio of 5th gear on the one trans you showed. Might make for a sweeter downshift passing gear than the .84 5th gear.

That was a corvette transmission and gear ratio. I was showing that for an example of it's gear ratio/speed. I am assuming where the vette is more aero dynamic it would be better to get a shorter rear end gear because it will need more torque in comparison to the much smaller vette.

That was the thought.

I just thought the 3.89 where it was a little taller gear. I'd be doing 1600 rpm at 65mph. For that motor I feel like it might be a little low. There is only about 125 rpms different between the 4.10 and 3.89 but I don't want to this once right!

I'm feeling pretty confident with the 4.10. Unless someone wants to come and tell me different. I think we are sitting pretty good.
