I believe stainless is steel with nickel, so the copper must help with making it a bit softer and easier to work with. I used SS for it's looks and it's corrosion resistance. Next time around ( If there is one ) I'll use SS fittings & the NICOPP tubing ! But at this point I doubt there will be a next time .... I'm most likely going to enjoy the one I'm doing now for as long as I can ! Gary
