GMC gauge cluster with electric coolant gauge not mechanical

Anyone have one? I pulled the Chevy style mechanical out and installed a GMC unit ( I liked the tan face that GMC had) but the temp gauge is electrical and I need to know which side is 6v ( I'm swithing to 12v) and which side to run my new light green temp sender wire.
I have searched and searched before asking and hat to pull out a multi meter and screw something up. If it has a nut and bolt, i'm your guy. if it has current running through it or breasts, I will screw it up.

Standing on my head looking at the gauge mounted.....it's the lower right quadrant in this pic

The right upper quadrant is the fuel gauge. the red tag says " connect fuel sender here, if powered gauge will short"

I'm rolling the dice and connecting the coolant sender on the upper rt stud and power to the lower. No battery installed yet so I have some time if someone chimes in before I see smoke.

Here's pics in my photobucket, there's a few you can look at to pick

The green wire closest to bulb and white fuel guage resistor is the twelve volt reduced to six volt power supply to guage. Just out of sight is the voltage reducer. Do you have a part number for a sender. I think mines bad. Jim

Mines a 3 ton 450 series if that matters, not a "small truck". Don't know if half tons came with electric gauge or not. Jim.
