Craigslist find 56 GMC
Is this worth the money?
Some one should buy this and make a nice tow truck out of it! http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/pts/4598151923.html

As long as the scrap on the back goes with it it may be worth it

Looks like it's got that great Arizona sheet metal on it. For someone who is a fan of those years and that model, I'd say they would be pretty happy with it.

Re: Craigslist find 56 GMC
I like it. If my home in Phoenix could handle the space needed to accomodate such a project, I would probably go for it. I already have the wife approval for that type of truck, but the yard just won't handle the size of that project.
Good luck if you choose to go for it.

Re: Craigslist find 56 GMC
The 302 alone is worth a couple hundred bucks just as a core.

Re: Craigslist find 56 GMC
They were used in hot rods alot back in the day because you could generate a lot of power out of them with minimal mods. They gave Henry's Flatheads a run for their money, that's for damn sure.
Now they're pretty rare because most got used up in the trucks they came in. The rest were ridden hard and put away wet in hot rods and drag cars. |
