cab replacement for a 76 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hi Guys,

So after extensive work on my cab (corners, firewall, etc.) we got to the floorboards and rockers and I was disappointed to find out that my cab is basically garbage due to extensive rust.

Could you tell me if any cab 73-87 will work for me to replace my 76 cab? And are there any differences that I will need to be aware of?

You need to use the body mounts to your chassis... also you will need to swap over the wiper assembly if you use a newer cab and depending on how authentic you want your truck you will have to swap over stuff from the old cab to the new any cab is a direct bolt on from 73-87
