Re: fix my rust

I've bought a couple pieces from them and was very satisfied with the quality and fit of the parts. Couldn't say if their parts are better or worse than anyone else though. I took the time to locate O.E. parts and only had to buy I believe 3-4 aftermarket ones. Hope this helps. Based on the ones I did buy, I would go to them again if I needed something.

Re: fix my rust

There are very few makers of aftermarket sheetmetal, and many sellers. Virtually all the makers are in Asia. Chances are these folks are selling the same parts as everyone else.

I'd look for a vendor in a nearby state so I don't have to pay excess shipping or sales tax.

Re: fix my rust

They get there parts from Key Parts so I called them (they will only sell to distributors) they told me the panels come from Taiwan so Im pretty sure its the same plant as Goodmark . I ordered a door and fender and will post my findings when they arrive .

Free shipping does not apply to truck freight

So you can compare because you bought oem ones also. Sounds like you thought they were pretty good.

Its not uncommon to have to "hog-out" bolt holes to get aftermarket parts to fit/line up properly. The parts I bought from "Fix My Rust" fit without any massaging at all.

Re: fix my rust

Last time I made a order I had it down to them and Top Banana. Top banana were the ones I got a hold of on the phone or something I don't remember now but I'm glad I had to make a choice between the two.If TB has any part my shop needs I'll only order from them those part I got from them [were key parts]and great price. But with that being said I am a little closer to TB than FMR and the day or two getting it faster maight have something to do with that cause the prices from both are almost impossible to beat. Jim

Re: fix my rust

Called FMR yesterday to check on my body panels that I ordered and they said one part was back ordered and they would not ship the others until all arrived . They said I should see the parts around Sept. 1st so I cancelled my order with them. Any suggestions on where to buy from now that will not kill a guy on shipping ?

Don't get any "Counterparts" manufacturing parts... they are absolute garbage...

Try Bowtie Truck shop Kevin & Lisa are in MN. and can hook you up.You'll probably save some on shipping since they are fairly close.Be prepared for Ochre' overload. They are a site vendor.
