Re: WARNING!,Pics may be disturbing to some viewers

Thanks everyone good and bad....lord knows alot of drinking and other stuff was involved when they put this mutt together. I figure it was a few guys that worked at a local junk yard that assembled this freak. But I have a soft spot for mutts.(I have 14 stray dogs and love them all). The mopar motor is an early 70's 360 and runs sweet, got a 12 bolt under it. The wood bed and early ford fenders are different also. Its gonna be a fun project. I don't want a truck that looks like everybody elses........I think you would all agree that I got a good start in that direction.

Normally we don't allow "bash" threads, but this is his truck he owns, so its his choice. That car truck thing is wow.. but lets not turn this into what it isnt meant to be

I may share your truck on the social media we do if you don't mind.

Sure why not. It is a pretty bizzare (sp) looking creature.

Very interesting.....but it has potential. Everything that's been done can be undone. I'm not going to knock it as its your truck and build what you want out of it. Looking forward to see where you go with this build and welcome to the forum.

Wore out rachet shifter
No gauges except for a tach, and it works!
diamond plate dash panels
a couple more rubber rats screwed to the dash.

AND MY FAVORITE!!!
A toy safe between the seats that housed the battery.

yeah I like the steering wheel. the horn section is wobbly on it so i'm guessing its missing some parts inside and the turn signal feels weird. I guess more will be revealed when I get it apart.
To me,having a battery in the drivers compartment is just plain dangerous. I am eventually going to mount a 24 in. tool box of some sort in the bed to put the battery once I get rolling on this project.
I found an old Ford diesel spreader truck on my bosses farm thats been dead for years and it has some nice patina on the SW gauges and one of those old metal fans that mounts to the dash. He said they ain't doin him any good.

SCORE!!!

Re: WARNING!,Pics may be disturbing to some viewers

No gauges, no head lights but a radio!

At least the PO had their priorities.

Think of it as a blank canvas to start with. Keep what you like and change the rest.
