Smile 3 Inch Lift, Re aligning the front bumper Question

Another one for you all, Posted two examples to help tell the tale,

Looking at the front lower cowl below the grill area where the bumper would mount around and hide the bottom curve out.

How have you all managed to match the bumber up properly in order to make it look original when you go to install the front bumper?

I can live with the curve sticking out, but would rather keep it looking smooth and original if I can.

The second picture is of someone elses truck I use as a model for the one I am building. You can see the bumber covering the cowl properly with a body lift.
Thanks all!!!!!

Re: 3 Inch Lift, Re aligning the front bumper Question

My truck has a body lift, but the previous owner installed it.

My front bumper wasn't changed, that curved piece is exposed on mine. Doesn't really look that bad, it took me a while to even notice it. Of course, mine was swapped, it's an 84 front end, so the styling is a little different than yours.

My rear bumper mounts were cut and welded with a homemade bracket to lift the rear bumper to the proper location.

Re: 3 Inch Lift, Re aligning the front bumper Question

You have a nice Truck Wilken. Most likely it will just be exposed. I am building this for my daughter to drive during her highschool years anyway or until mom gets a new care and she gets her old one. Not a bad investment trading up for it!!! Enjoy Nevavda, I miss it and the Trucky River!!!!
