manual to powersteering swap

I have a 1967 K10 swaped out my manual steering for power and everything is in except the pitman arm they sent me from LMC seems to short or something is not right!!! Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?4re

It could be a number of things, If your 67 still has the original closed knuckle drum brake front axle you will not find any "off the shelf" drag link parts, it would help out if you could post up a picture or two so we can see exactly what you are dealing with.

Ok, let me ask this, dose anyone have a diagram of the power steering set up from the pitman arm to the tire where it hooks up to the drum brake, because i have the pit man arm i just cant get it on right or maybe its the wrong arm. I seen a few guys sent a picture of mine but my steering box uses a arm that should be held on by a big nut at the bottom of the shaft that comes out of the steering box.

Here are a couple of pictures of a 4X4 steering setup,
If your steering box has a "big" nut on the shaft it is for a 2WD and will not work on your 4X4.

so i have the wrong steering box, but the pitman arm fit on there but i guess that dont matter?

I tried to convert my '67 K/10 Suburban to power steering years ago. [The OEM P/S for that year was a ram-assisted steering like on Corvettes of the same vintage.] I had nothing but problems. Gear box breaking bolts at the frame. Drag link had to be cut and modified, then replaced. Limited steering radius.
I got fed up and replaced it with the old manual gearbox, but the old drag link had been messed up, so my turning radius wasn't as good as before. [Save the old draglink and use a 3-piece '72 type.]
Best solution is get a D44 '69-and-Later front axle with the horseshoe-type Pittman arm and swap it out from the closed-knuckle front axle. (You also get front disc brakes.)
Sorry I don't have better news.
