Little transmission help

How about this one:

- Speedo didn't work with TH350 in car (from time I bought it)
- Speedo still didn't work after installing brand new TKO-600
- Speedo works if I turn it with a drill from the transmission end

So the speed mechanically works yet registered nothing from two different transmissions. Unless the internal cable is too short, but there was obviously enough to chuck it into a drill. I've never solved it. I suppose I need to have it hooked up to the trans and disconnected from the cluster and see if it turns while driving.

Sometimes the tip of the cable breaks off and it will be too short to turn speedo. If you do unhook it and jack up the truck you can touch the cable as it spins and see if it keeps going if it does it is a good chance the cable is just too short.
