Its getting there, its a slow process. I've got just about everything picked out and my shop location. I'm just waiting on the bank and financing. I haven't got to sand anything in a while i'm having withdrawals

Do you have any pictures with of your truck with the 8" lift on it?

awesome build you got here..Had some questions for you about how you decided where to cut the bedsides..I might try that on mine as well..I'am kinda unsure on where to cut mine..Did you cut 12" and 8",just like the frame..?..

Mx289, yeah I cut 12 from the front and 8 from the back. I tried to just find a place where the body lines were the straightest that way when I put it together it would be less body work and blending. The rear was easier than the front because the front top body line is at a sharper angle towards the cab. It took me longer to blend the body work and get that line straight. If I was to do it again I think I would cut the front section out as close to the cab as I could that way body work would be less. I also had trouble cutting the Interier bed walls on the same line as the outer. I tried several different methods but ultimately ended up with gaps I had to weld metal back into to cover.

Its been a long time since ive been on here, alot has changed. I sold my house and shop, moved, quit my job, and started up a powder coating and hydro-dipping shop. My truck has just been sitting here in the shop staring at me everyday. Customers keep asking me when im goin to start working on it again. So I decided to start back up a little bit. Ive made a little progress in the past week.

Got some 1 ton rear 56" leafs from the junk yard. Cleaned, blasted and painted them.

Ordered the shackle flip kit from ORD, the parts to do a 52" front conversion from DIY4X, and front leaf springs from 4wheelparts.

I finished painting my axle and put the wheels and tires on them and washed the dust off everything. I had already powder coated my diff covers, transfer case, and calipers in this silver artery powder. I plan on using it a lot more on different parts. By the end of the day today I should have everything to make this a rolling chassis.

On a side note how much did you cut off the front and back of your long bed to achieve short bed dimensions ?

12" are cut out from infront of the fender and 8" out of the back.
