air cleaner replacement
I have noticed some of you guys with the stock inline 6 have a single filter attached directly to the rochester. The PO removed the air cleaner from this truck and I would like to find a simple filter assembly to set on the carb and roll on. Any input on this......

Re: air cleaner replacement
I got one of those from Pep boys a few years back. Just plain little round chrome housing....fits the 2 5/8" neck rochesters. Ran around $20

Re: air cleaner replacement
I'm thinking about changing my oil bath filter for one those small autozone/pep boys paper deals.
I like the idea of the oil bath but I just can't stand the way it leaks onto the carb. I've changed the gasket a few times. I've tried tightening the wing nut more and then less but either way... it leaks. |
