Suburban parking brake cable
I'm looking for replacement parking brake cables for my 70 K10 Sub. Who carries them for a Suburban? It looks like LMC has some of them but not all. Brothers doesn't list any specifically for a Suburban from the looks of it.
I need the two rear ones and the intermediate one. Oh one more thing. Do you call it a "parking brake" or an "emergency brake"? Paul

Re: Suburban parking brake cable
LMC lists a 2WD rear cable with leaf springs. Are the cables different for 2WD with leaf springs and 4WD?

Re: Suburban parking brake cable
Pretty sure I got mine from LMC many years ago, either that or I got them from www.truckandcarshop.com
Do you still have all the old stuff? If you do, you can have new cables made up to match the old stuff. Some catalogs refer to this stuff as parking brake or emergency brake, so I would search those two key words.

Re: Suburban parking brake cable
Thanks for the link to truck and car shop. Great catalog. Thanks Chris!
They list a cable 67-11519 for: 67-72 1/2 ton 4WD and 69-72 Blazer 4WD with leaf springs for 50 bucks LMC lists part number 34-3861 for: 4WD Blazer/Jimmy 69-72 That listing is the only 1/2 ton 4WD listing they show for the rear cable. It is half the cost of the truckandcarshop cable. In the truckandcarshop catalog, the part number I listed above is their only listing for a 1/2 ton 4WD! Paul

Re: Suburban parking brake cable
Well looks like I'll take a chance on the LMC rear cables. Part number 34-3861 is the ONLY rear cable they list for 4WD.
