Picked up another '62 GMC .....

So I scored this one for a decent price of $500 last night. The guy listed it for $1000. He wanted it gone, and he took my offer.

My idea was to use the sheetmetal for mine, but after looking at this one .... I am thinking differently now.

This one has some floor rust (due to the rubber mat), rust in rockers, but that looks to be it !!

I am thinking I might build this one instead. In a couple of weekends, I will be stripping this one down too for a FULL SANDBLAST to see what I'm up against....Then I'll be posting a lot of parts in the for sale section.

Still has the V6 and PowerGlide tranny ... nice auto column too !

I didn't notice until I left ... but the Burban was the SAME COLOR as dudes house ....

He said he had his son "brush on some paint" to "preserve it"

Darn it man, what the heck do these people have against mother nature ??

Not much of motor left, but tranny seem to be all there ...

Re: Picked up another '62 GMC .....

Sticker on rear hatch window says "Air Conditioned"

The holes in the firewall, behind engine Driver side, looks to be where the lines would of entered for an under dash unit.

After a full blast, we will determine the plan of action.

Stay tuned in my other build thread
