79 chevrolet grille

Hey fellas was wondering the correct color for the grille on a 79 Chevrolet, Blazer to be specific, it looks like it may be a dark argent of sorts but mine is faded so its hard to tell.

Re: 79 chevrolet grille

I used dark argent.... It seemed to match fairly good. The biggest problem I had was finding all the pieces, I had a billet grill and went back to stock.
I searched for some time to find a grill that wasn't cracked some place. The trim wasn't to bad to find it was all over ebay cheap.
They don't repop that grill trim like they do the rest of the truck trim.

Re: 79 chevrolet grille

Thank you for the reply, this truck is a cream puff '79 blazer, the grille is original and intact, not cracked or broken and all mounting tabs are there. It is 99.9 percent original, the only thing not stock is someone put headers and turbo type mufflers with chrome echo tips on. By the way your truck looks great with the stock grille, but I am biased I really dig stock.
