Blazer buckets in a suburban?
I have a set of seat frames from a 73 blazer which look similar to pics ive seen of factory 69-72 suburbans. Could anyone tell me if these will fit with no crazy mods? If not is there a thread that shows the difference between blazer and sub buckets? Also needing foam and covers for the frames, whats the best source these days?
Thanks |

Re: Blazer buckets in a suburban?
This topic comes up semi-regularly, there should be a thread with the details. IIRC the rear seats of a Blazer work for row 3 of a Suburban, but I think the brackets are different at the floor.

Re: Blazer buckets in a suburban?
73-up brackets will not work without extensive modification. They are too tall, and angled back too far. 69-72 bucket seats themselves are the same for Blazers, Burbs, and trucks. The best source I have found for covers and foam is Classic Industries here in so cal. Wait for a 20% off sale.

Re: Blazer buckets in a suburban?
Thanks for the info. I was able to find this thread showing the differences in the foam and brackets.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=280182 Is there a source for the 69-72 brackets? I noticed that there are 3 different foam sets available for the buckets: 67-68 69-70 71-75 Last edited by WhiteWhale; 08-24-2014 at 02:44 PM. |
