WTB: correct A/C bracket studs for 283 / 327

OK I guess this is a stretch maybe, but I am going to ask anyway - top money will be paid. My 66 project has its #'s matching 327 engine and factory A/C, but someone removed the engine compressor bracket and studs when they worked on the engine at some point, so now I need to try and find these needle in a haystack studs or come up with similar aftermarket ones at least.

Anyone happen to have all 4 of the correct V8 AC bracket studs off a 64-66 Chevy truck?

i thought the exhaust side was the harder ones, i was just gonna use regular bolts on the intake, are those studs also?

Re: WTB: correct A/C bracket studs for 283 / 327

yes they are - the "nut" is squarely in the center of the stud but is only 1/2 the width of a normal 3/8" nut - the studs the bracket sits on are smaller in diameter (maybe 7/16"?) than the 3/8" stud that goes in the intake.

so its like a needle ina needle stack, super hard to find just the right studs and even harder to find someone willing to sale them let alone all the studs intake and exhaust... i will keep looking and make up my mind if its worth it to have my build drag for the "correct" studs or ones that are functional!!! my burban has a ways to go before im to that point, but im always looking for parts!!!

You can buy those at car quest and no one will ever know they aren't correct at a show.

Hey Southern! sorry for the belated reply - just seeing all these original A/C studs - so I am not sure what top dollar is, but whatever you think it should be is fine with me - these are what I need - I see in the pics several different ones for the exhaust and what appears to be the right ones for the intake too, so I am just happy someone has these in the first place - let me know what sounds worth your time and we'll make a deal. Thank you!

Re: WTB: correct A/C bracket studs for 283 / 327

Mine had and still has two bolts holding the intake on directly thru the bracket. No stud. If I used a stud it would never fit. I tried. Any chance some ot these were done this way?

Well, you see the Chevrolet assembly manual drawing above - its pretty cut and dry. Your bracket was removed at some point for the engine to be rebuilt or something, and they lost the studs and replaced with bolts. If your bracket is identical to the one in the above drawing, then it will fit with studs -

Your bracket must be under some tension because when I put mine on there was a gap between the manifold. I could not use even a regular stud as it is like a 1/2 nut that will only fit in there. If you look at Southern's picture the 2 bolts above the line to the right appear to be intake bolts, look at the the thickness of the nut.
