Advice on where to buy a 700r4

So I'm pretty sure my transmission died today. I'll have to make sure tonight. But I wanted to ask you guys where the best place to buy a new one would be. I have an 86 K10, pretty much stock. I'd like to put a 700r4 back in it. What do you guys recommend. Thanks.

Mike

I got mine from Bowtie Overdrives, I highly recommend them. There are several others on the board that have purchased and are happy with their transmissions.

Jeff,

Which level did you get? Anyone have any thoughts on the level 1?

I purchased level 3...but have yet to run it since my truck is apart. Mike Reeh purchased level 2 I believe and is extremely happy with it. Maybe he will chime in. He did post a thread a week or so ago, maybe do a search with "mike reeh" to find it.

Yes, along with the lockup wiring, plunger switch, TV cable setup, and dipstick tube...I think that is all.
