1970 dealer installed a/c option?
Was there such a thing? I recently purchased it from the og owner. The og owner said the unit was a dealer installed option for that year. The unit looks to be something a dealer would have installed. It still works, has the GM logo and flows quite well with the contour of the dash. Anybody seen one of these or had any expirience? I will post pics this weekend.

I don't know about dealer installed, but you could get factory air in GM pickups as early as 1958.

Attached is a pic of the a/c unit. Anybody know if this was a dealer installed option or did they come like this from the factory. The spid sticker has no indication of a/c.
Thanks in advance. |

That's not a factory A/C installation. It does look like an aftermarket setup with the under dash unit. I had one that looked like that on an IH Scout.
