Frame swap for a 67 k10 pu
Can anyone tell me what years of the newer body style frames would make for a great swap. I have a 1967 k 10 327/415 hp motor w/ 700r4 tranny. I would like something in the 90's or 2000's if possible. If anyone has done this please message me.

Re: Frame swap for a 67 k10 pu
I put a 67 onto a 97 1500 frame, The newer frames are wider. This means modifying the cab mounts and steering shaft. This is not an easy bolt it on mod. I also kept the complete brake system and fuel injection from the 97, runs great. Good luck

Re: Frame swap for a 67 k10 pu
I've done a couple frame swaps on other branded vehicles. Never on a 67-72 truck. I figure why bother since it's a very good, proven design.
The frame swaps I've done have been a PIA. Like mentioned, width and steering column placement are significant hurdles.
