Holley Question

Reading through the owners manual it says to adjust the floats so fuel just barely trickles out of the sight hole. If my Holley has windows instead of plugs should the fuel level be right at the bottom of the sight window?

Thanks!

Re: Holley Question

Yes.

You can usually jiggle the vehicle to get the fuel to slosh, so you can get a better look at it.

Should be at the bottom. I don't know if that's enough to make a difference - some carb designs like the Q-jet are very sensitive to float level.

The difference would be the amount of distance the main jets have to lift fuel (or how much head above the jet). Would 1/4 inch make a difference? I don't know, but it's a quick and easy adjustment so why not set them at the bottom?

With sight windows you don't have to worry about fuel getting all over, etc.
