Saying "Hi"

Been a member for some time. I inherited my fathers 67 c10 LWB after his passing a few years ago and just recently started to put some money into it. It is in need of some tlc. My father purchased the truck back in 1973 and has well over 400k on it. He was a mechanic by trade and always kept on it. I fortunately learned a lot about cars over the years from him. building engines in our garage and other thing. He installed power steering into the truck. Also he pulled a fast one. The truck came with a 327 /th400. Well he swapped the 400 from my mom's 1973 Caprice and had some mild work done on it. When I got it from my mom it had a loose lifter, was ticking and missing badly.

I found out the lifters were just tightened to zero lash and no further???

I just fixed the temp gauge. found the wire broken in the harness.
I'm now trying to get the fuel gauge working next.

I'll post some pics of it.
