Your front tires might be to tall to go that low though, those are 235/45/17....
This wheel/tire combo would make your blue truck a head turner.

Re: Put on the Soft 8's

I'm going to put away for a set of 18/20 Salt Flats. I saw a truck on the power tour with them and those are some killer wheels. I made this move to change things up and to get the vette rally wheels off the truck.

Whydn't you say so in the first place? Yeah, those are very cool and your truck will wear those well.

Re: Put on the Soft 8's

You know, I never did a introductory post. This truck was bought as a father son project. He will be 13 soon. We are trying different looks but always knew salt flats are the wheel. But, the cost of those things are more than the LS 4L80e swap we are going to do. We've gone back and forth on 67-72's and I think I'll buy one and that will be mine. But I'll buy one already done LOL. I got these wheels at summit in the scratch and dent section for $50 each. So, I went with it. They won't be permanent but will be a change just like this truck will change. Eventually it will end up on air but there is so many other things going on, like my wife's project that you can see in the pictures sitting in the garage.

Nice, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of spacers did you use? ? How have they held up?

Build the truck the way you want it and to your budget. IMO it wouldn't be that interesting of a hobby if everybody's truck were built exactly the same anyway.

The blacked out look isn't my thing but with the younger crowd I have noticed that look is where it is at. Looks like a nice clean truck to start a project with. Sounds like you you are building it with your son. I would try and run with some of his ideas it will probably keep him a lot more involved. You're building memories as well as a truck.
