2" or 4" lift

Hey everyone, I know this a matter of opinion, but that is what I am looking for. I have a ’72 Suburban that I am restoring. I like the way a 2” lift looks, tires and all. A great example is “Teeitup’s” vehicles, they look awesome. My best friend however, whose opinion I actually listen to from time to time is like: “the cost is the same, how can you not go with the 4” lift?” What do you guys think? Thanks, Joe Bob

i dont have a burb, i have a 71 long box p/u and i use a two inch lift. it gives me plenty of room for 33x12.5 and i can still use my truck for hauling stuff without needing a ladder to toss stuff in the back or a step or handle just to get in the cab...like you said though, its a personal preference

Look at your finger.........Imagine 2 inches. Why bother going to all the trouble for just 2 inches. You will be sorry you didn't go with a 4 after you go with a 2 inch.

I'd go with the 4". I put the 4" Skyjacker softride spring on my K20s. Especially if you ever think you might want a 35" tire. Don't forget the steering arm, longer brake lines and the front spring rear shackle bushings that you will need.

I too would recommend if your going to the trouble, go with the 4". I originally went 4" to avoid some things, ended up with my truck I had to do many of the things usually associated with a 6" lift anyway. Course now I'm at 9", that should be enough for awhile.

Your Burb is a big vehicle and it's size might settle a 4" lift to more like a 3" lift anyway.
