My dad helped me mount it by moving by fabricating to new little brackets to the back of the grille and we bolted it to the raditor support i believe since thats where two bolt holes already were man.

I'm not liking the styling of the grill, but the fit & finish are really good.So ultimately your eye is what decides.Good job nontheless.

Re: Its called using whatever you can to build your project!

I miss my old truck boys had to sell it off for my wife to get a family car. 900.00 bucks and paid sales tax. So here's a pic from the new owners progress.

Hate to hear you had to sell your truck. At least it was for a good cause being family. Maybe another one will come along for you!!

Re: Its called using whatever you can to build your project!

Well I have come into an 87 square body it don't have the curves like my favorite years but none the less I'm hoping to build her and post on here with my dad's 84 as well. Trying to rekindle the father son relationship between us since I just finished our home right next door to my dad. Father and Don showdown maybe at the strip someday? Lol.

Thanks again yeah it was my favorite year but I think the 87 will be my redemption. ...my wife said buy it as long as it gets you around but it better not be just a project truck. Lol that's a good one huh?
