I want to get my cooling system flushed. I thought the thermostat had to come out to get the block flushed. Is that true? I want to pay someone to do it. It is a 327.

You don't need to remove the T stat to flush it out. It just needs to be up to temp for it to open to flush the system.

Depending on the flush procedure it may not need to be removed. If you use one of those kits that you install on the heater hose that you use with a garden hose, it's beneficial to remove the thermostat so it won't close once the colder water enters from the hose and your assured that you are flushing the block out good.
