Hiding / Covering the Gas Tank
I know there is the factory cover that most use, but I'd like to see some other ideas you guys have came up with to hide the tank behind the seat. I think the 67-72 guys use a carpet.
I've searched these forums trying to find pics of ideas for the 60-66 trucks, but I just keep finding threads on the cardboard factory cover. . Anyone done carpet, vinyl, or wood, or etc. Pics? . Thanks

1967-72 trucks with Bucket seats had a carpet cover over the gas tank. You could copy the idea and do this on your truck. You can make it very easily by cutting the carpet and use a piece of flat stock and drill the cab to match holes in the flat stock. Then put the carpet facing the glass on the edge lining up the holes and screw it in the cab. Then after you flip it back down it leaves a nice folded seam hiding the screws.

Yes, I'm leaning very much to the 67-72 carpet method.

I put buddy buckets in the 65 this is definitely on the list of things to do.
