Posi?

Is this a Posi/limited slip unit? My Spid says it was and beside spinning both, I don't know how to tell visually.

Also, any ideas of value? I will be listing in parts section after clarification.

Yes it is a posi. If it is a factory gm gov lock posi then it isn't worth crap since they all expload eventually. Especially when you put anymore than stock power to it.

The most obvious visual clue is the springs in it. Those won't be present in an open differential.

That is a limited slip, but it's NOT an Eaton Positraction that would have been OEM in an earlier truck or the Gov-Lok like pictured above. I think it's an Auburn unit best I can tell from all those springs and the shape of the carrier. Looks like a previous owner helped you out!
