67 GMC-Factory Exhaust Hanger Brackets?

My 67 GMC SWB has 3 brackets with a hole (pictured below) attached in various spots down the drivers side frame rail.

They are all riveted to the frame so I assume they are OEM.

I am converting to V8 and building my own exhaust (Heartbeat 2 1/4" w/Flowmaster clone muffs) and was wondering if trucks with duals from the factory had the same pieces running down the passengers frame rail?

If so, do any of the truck parters ever cut those off and sell them?

Thanks

I don't think any trucks came with factory duals.

Re: 67 GMC-Factory Exhaust Hanger Brackets?

My 402 truck has them on both sides. Factory rivets. No idea if it had duals from the factory (not on the SPID). I've been told in other threads that some trucks had dual exhaust though. Maybe it was only big blocks or something.

In a tangential note the base 427 available in the '69 Impala SS was a single 1.5" pipe. Ouch.

I wondered about that.

Seems like there is a SPID pic thread here somewhere, I will try to look through it if I can locate it.

Do you remember if it has the same (or similar) brackets as my pics?

Wow, 1.5" single for a 427?!?
