Engine bay brace for 68?

I searched and can't seem to find much. Dropped a potent 406 in there and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as far as stiffening up the engine bay,

Re: Engine bay brace for 68?

well maybe a better question would be do I need any support up front? This is my first build as far as older trucks go. All my newer cars and trucks showed improvement with a brace support. Thanks

Re: Engine bay brace for 68?

my answer is no our trucks are not like the uni body cars that the motor is mounting to the body of the car that flexs our motors are bolted right to the frame you want a little stiffness use poly mounts

Re: Engine bay brace for 68?

Now I got it.
Great idea in a vehicle that has a unibody type construction like that mopar or a fox body ford but won't help in a perimeter type frame.
Unless you build up some braces from the frame and tie it all togethor.
