I have to agree with Tim. There are many things you could do to prevent it's theft (short of it being towed). Hidden ignition cut off switch, fuel cut off switch, hidden battery disconnect. Far to many things to worry about than some jerk riding off with your ride. But......... if it happened, I would find another truck or a nice little '31 5 window coupe.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this but I'd check the parking lot down at the tavern first.

Re: If you lost your truck, what would you do?

My green 72 Cheyenne disappeared in April of 2007, I'm still sore about it. That truck got me through high school and I have so many great memories thanks to it. I got another 72 Cheyenne and have been messing with it since, hard to stay motivated as I get older and life gets in the way but I will always own a 67-72 truck- they're just me. The only good thing is I learns a few things the hard way with the first that have saved me some headaches with this one.

Re: If you lost your truck, what would you do?

I would think to myself, "why did they steal a truck out of my garage with no hood, bed, battery, and windshield?"

But in all seriousness, I would be absolutely devastated. Don't know if I would go through with restoring another, would probably look for a completed project instead.

I'd hope the insurance company gave me enough money to start a Volvo p1800 pro-touring build
