Rear Springs, 52 vs 56 " on SB

My current C10 SB SS has 52 or 51 1/2 " rear springs with 3 leafs, another SB chassis I have has 56" rear springs ( maybe 5 or 6 leafs) along with JB 5 brakes.

Question is besides load capacity, what are the advantages of one length vs the other.
One that I read here was that, the 56" allows rear hanger to be raised without hitting a crossmember.

NOTE: Truck may see a little 1/4 mile strip action, with granny shifting of MY6 4 speed. Mild 350 engine, with 400 HP & 400 ft-lbs torque.

Thanks,
Les
