Well screw it that's what I'm gonna do. Thanks for the help!

My gas gauge just stopped working!!! It has been working great, now it's reading about 1/8th of a tank, and I just put $20 in last night. I'm thinking there's no way I went through it that quick, but to be sure I put another $20 in just now and it overflowed! So I know my tank is full but the damn gauge is floating around 1/8 still, wtfffff.

Mike, your float probably has a pin hole in it allowing fuel to weigh it down causing the false fuel level reading.
