400" 2-bolt Block For Sale
I have a bare .030" over 400" block/caps for sale. This is a 2-bolt block with only the 2 freeze plug bosses. Should only need to deck block and finish hone to fit your pistons.
Block has been magnafluzed - no cracks. $350 plus shipping (if necessary). I'm in Binghamton, NY 13901 email at: gsxmen@sbcglobal.net

Any chance it has 020 or 030 cast in the side?

Finally got the #'s off the 400 block:
Front Pad: FC222TTC (can't really make out the first T, but I believe all truck blocks start with T) Rear Deck: 3951509 Date Code: B 15 8 Oil Filter Area: 010, 020, 164 (I'd be curious to know what the 164 stands for) Bell Housing area: H11, 010 (don't know if that means anything or not) *Only #'s I didn't copy down are the ones in the timing cover area. Thanks. ![]()

That 509 block is one of the better blocks out there and a 2 bolt main is way better than a 4 bolt in the 400 blocks. And if you want to put the splayed caps on there, then they are even stronger.

**Any one know what the '164' #'s by the oil filter stand for?? I know that the 010 and 020 refer to the nickel and tin content, but I've never heard what the 164 was. Thanks ![]()

Just want to bring this back up top.
Anyone in the NY, NJ, PA area that might be interested, I'd be glad to do a little driving to help eliminate shipping costs (depending on how far away).

Thought I had this block sold, but the deal went south.
Still for sale. Thanks.
