i have had a few mini's my self....a few different problems....
the best one i have ever found is the TCI MINI.... has the hitachi drive....kicks butt

Ive got one of those little ac delcos they are great there pretty much shaped like a stock starter but smaller dia.
A friend of mine has a 99 S10 with a 4.3 it uses the same starter so if you luck out and find one at a wreckin yard cheap snatch it up |
