Little help

He guys I wanted to ask and get some opinions on the best way of getting out a rusted rear spring bolt, I was removing the right rear bottom bolt to put on lowering springs and it snapped off in the lower rear trail arm, is the any tricks to getting out? Thanks thought this was supposed to be a quick easy morning job. LOL

might try soaking it down with penetrating oil where it goes through the arm from the top, then knocking it out with a hammer & big punch. I have the best luck with the GM heat valve rust penetrant that is sold in dealerships.

Thanks for some help just cleaned up and beer time I was only able to get one out, so soaked other side and going to see in morning if it comes out. I am looking at replacing both trailing arms if nothing happens in the morning, does any one have any suggestions on a good pair one new arms, Early Classic ?

Mine were both frozen in place also. I took the arms off and used an air hammer on them. The vibration knocks the scale loose and they normally come out decent.

I was going to remove the left arm and work on the bolt but found this weld job, anyone ever see this? I ordered all new Trailing arms from classic industries and will just go all new.

My guess is either the rivets let go and arms started to spread or the PO was scared of that happening so he welded a piece on top to tie them together.

Those trailing arms seem to be in pretty good shape from what I can tell, unless there is a lot of damage I can't see IMO you are spending money you don't need to spend on new ones.
