77 High Sierra C15

A freind purchased a 77 GMC High Sierra C15 SWB truck in Hugger Orange, the VIN decoder suggests that there were only a handful of these made but what was more rare, LW or SWB?

Re: 77 High Sierra C15

I didn't realize color was noted on the vin# breakdown. What did you use to decode the vin#?

Re: 77 High Sierra C15

He did the breakdown of the VIN and is a newb to trucks, I need to see where he got this info. I don't want him to think he has something rare when he really doesn't. Hate to pop his bubble if it isn't.

Re: 77 High Sierra C15

Is it a big block truck? I sold a 77 GMC swb in Conroe back in '96.

Color is not coded in the VIN.
