Question what wheel will work 72 s/s, s/b?

Building a 72 s/s, s/b and would like input about what wheels and tire size will work with out body mods.

the truck has 2 1/2 spindles, one spring removed in rear, and now sit with 396-T400, heavier than the original 6cyl, 3-spd.

Two options i am looking at,
1: Same size wheels and tires all around (over sized)
2: Fill the rear well to look like a pro street (remaining stock body)

This truck will never be a rail drager, but I would like it to have an new look, some thing mean. It has a 272 cam and 3" exhaust, and will be a daily driver.

Any help and pictures will be much appreciated. If giving info on wheels, please give back spacing and off set if any.

thanks

Sledge

well, I don't have any pictures, but I've seen 295/50/15's on 10 inch rims (pretty sure) and it looked damn good.. They were on the back and they were very sweet looking. Wide and aggressive.. That's what I plan on doing for my rear and then probably some 255's on 8 inch rims on the front.. should look *****in... Good luck BTW, BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires are what I'm looking at .. good price, high speed rating, and nice looking too. .02 for ya...

I have the 94-96 Impala SS rims on my truck with 275/55/17 and this fit great. Any rim that will fit on a 90's Caprice will work as well as the Astro Van/ Safari or 5 lucg chevy pickup up to at least 91. Most of the 5 lug full size vans are the same too.

Also, chech out www.vulcantires.com for a good price on tires. I bought three sets of Falken tires. Two for myself and one for moms car....
