Will a 93 Silverado Step bumper fit a 70 C20?

This bumper is for sale on the other side of the city. Before I make the long trip over there I thought I'd find out if anyone knows if it would fit? Has anyone fitted one and maybe have photo's? Thanks

You'll probably have to buy/fabricate some different mounting brackets, but the bumper should fit ok.

First off the frame is a lot wider and maybe the bed is as well. If I can remember and it would help you out , I could put tape to it on Monday when I go back to the shop. The frame difference could be overcome easy enough but the width would hurt. Jim

i put one on my truck but i had to widen it almost 3 inches and had to make brackets because the 93 frame is 3 inches wider than the 70. but it will look good when its done.

the 70 bed is almost 3 inches wider than the 93 bed but the 93 frame is 3 inches wider than the 70 frame

Thanks for the photo, I agree it looks good! It might sound dumb, but how did you widen it? Did you cut it down the guts and add a section? If I was to buy it, I'd like to keep it chrome.

i used 2 junk yard bumpers. i cut the ends off each of them adding extra length to the second bumper ends and then welded them to the first bumper which then made it wider. as far as going chrome you would have to rechrome it because the chrome will not survive the welding process. not to mention i think it is not healthy to weld on it. i used a painted bumper and removed the chrome off the other.

Sadly our trucks are as rare as rocking horse sh*t ! Finding two bumpers would be like winning Lotto. It sounds like I'll have to put that on my long term project list . Pity, I really like the look of it. Thanks again for the photos and info.
