I didnt see a new member introduction area

Im new here and to trucks really, i havent been much for trucks. I recently got a 69 gmc that my aunt has had sitting for quite some time. I have questions and since im not well versed at all with trucks, but wanted to introduce myself first. My name is roger, im 20, been a car guy my whole life but more into the drag race hot rod muscle car thing. My other vehicles include a 1962 oldsmobile f85 cutlass and a 1962 oldsmobile f85 deluxe wagon, Im an olds guy.

Welcome Roger from Australia.
That's a nice lookin truck you have there. There is no question that can't be answered by the members of the board.
Any idea what the seats are out of? Any chance of a closer picture of the windscreen visor?

they are flexsteel seats, from my research they were a furniture company that also made aftermarket truck seats. and yes they are amazingly comfortable. It try to remember to get better pics of the sun visor, its fiberglass and the fit makes me believe it was made for the truck and not a universal piece, there are also numbers on it but i havent checked them out yet.

actually not at all, my dad replaced the engine in it twice for him because he didnt treat it right. after he passed away my aunt always kept it garaged or in storage. It appears to have a maaco style paint job as you can see the stock color underneath.

Re: I didnt see a new member introduction area

Welcome from the middle of the cornfields. I was once an Olds guy (still like them but no longer own my Cutlass) and into more of the drag/street racing scene. Nice truck and it'll make a great parts getter and car hauler.

Flex steel makes some very comfortable couches so I could only imagine those are just as nice.

As stated before: we want to see pics of the Olds!

Re: I didnt see a new member introduction area

if you click the links in my sig you will find my thread on the olds, if you want to see more.

Im not running the same rear set up as in the picture, its now a back halved with chassisworks eliminator II and 15x10 wheels to match the front, no tires yet.

the wagon is pretty rough and i havent done much to it since i got it back in december, Im saving it for a later project.
