Stock exhaust for 1969 long bed?
Greetings,
I'm looking for a complete stock exhaust system for a 1969 C-10 long bed. All I can find is performance exhaust. I'd like to replace everything from the manifolds back like it was from the factory. Thanks for all replies. Phil |

Uh. I'd think the big name resto companies would have somethin, just looked through my classic parts catalog and got nada, though I would think lmc or classic industries or something would have em, other members will chime in with for sure answers.

You should try autoacessoriesgarage.com. I just ordered my hearthrob exhaust kit from them for my 72 4x4. I should have it next week. I believe it was drop shipped from Hearthrob Exhaust in Mn. Check it out. Or you can go directly to Hearthrob's web site.

Re: Stock exhaust for 1969 long bed?
I got my stock 2 1/4 kit directly from Heartthrob exhaust, it is aluminized so it won't rust. I purchased magnaflow mufflers from Summit.
Just give Heartthrob a call, down to earth company. Had the kit two years with just the clamps, finally had it welded up and some slight bends adjusted last week. Runs way smoother not having all those small leaks I used zip ties to mock it up in an apartment parking lot. Wasn't the most fun in a parking lot but pretty easy...it's a 30 minute project that takes all day.

Re: Stock exhaust for 1969 long bed?
Waldron's exhaust in Michigan. They have nos exhausts that they copy. That's where I got the y pipe for my 70 k2500 with a 4 speed. Fit and quality was awesome. I had originally bought one from walker but that was the biggest PO* I've ever seen and came no where fitting. Welds and bends alone made you wonder how they sell any...

Re: Stock exhaust for 1969 long bed?
Just to be clear what engine application are you needing the exhaust for?
Sixes and small blocks were single exhaust from the factory and BBC were dual exhaust. If anyone has a link to a restoration single system please post it.

I used Heartthrob. It couldn't have been easier. I got dual exhaust that bolted up to the stock manifolds and fit like a glove.

Re: Stock exhaust for 1969 long bed?
I checked with NAPA and all they can get is the muffler and manifold gaskets. There's a guy I know locally who could build one pretty close to stock. I'll see what he'll charge and then I may go with Waldren if he's too high. Thanks for all of the replies.

Re: Stock exhaust for 1969 long bed?
It used to that the going rate in our area was around $400 for a custom dual system with flowmasters. Now I see these premium kits online are $500-600.

Re: Stock exhaust for 1969 long bed?
Don't know if its too late, but I bought a complete 2 1/4" system from the headers back, all the way to behind the rear wheel and out the bottom of the fenders, like stock. It didn't include mufflers(I used Smithy's.)
The dual exhaust system was less than $200...around $180 I think. The mufflers were around $40 each. All aluminized, fit great, looks great and sounds perfect. From Summitracing....made by Hooker......Summit Racing Part Number: HOK-16522HKR |
