U - Bolt Measuring

How do you measure a u-bolt for the rear axle?

Inside or Center to center?

Where do you measure the length to?

Inside of radius or just the straight part?

I can figure out the diameter.

Could someone give an example of how it would be written.

The diamater would from inside to inside of the 2 shanks. It is 3-1/2" IIRC. For a 12-bolt anyway.

Just take the old U-bolt with you when you go buy new ones. You will be sure to get the correct one that way.
